Residents looking to dispose of unwanted household special waste can bring their materials to the mobile special waste depot events happening this September. Everyone is welcome to join in a walk of unity in the 23rd Annual Walk Against Violence in Dartmouth. The walk marks the Dartmouth North community’s annual campaign to support and honour victims of crime, and it represents a show of solidarity to end violence. The biggest, geekiest sci-fi convention in Atlantic Canada Hal-Con is a sci-fi, fantasy and gaming convention run completely by much-too-dedicated volunteers. They are community focused, participating in many events around the Halifax Regional Municipality in Nova Scotia (such as other festivals, parades, and gaming events).
