Album – TOYS IN THE ATTIC (AEROSMITH)

On this day in 1975, Aerosmith released their third studio album Toys In The Attic. The album is their most commercially successful in the US, with eight million copies sold and features the hit 'Walk This Way' which peaked at No.10 on the Billboard Hot 100 in early 1977 when re-released and was one of the songs that helped break Aerosmith into the mainstream in the seventies.

Anniversary – TERRY FOX MARATHON OF HOPE (42)

April 12, 2022

On this day in 1980,  Terry Fox started his 'Marathon of Hope'. Fox dipped his right leg in the Atlantic Ocean in St John's, Newfoundland, and filled two large bottles with ocean water. He intended to keep one as a souvenir and pour the other into the Pacific Ocean upon completing his journey at Victoria, British Columbia.

RMS TITANIC ANNIVERSARY

110 years ago today, the RMS Titanic sunk in the North Atlantic Ocean. The largest and most luxurious ship in the world, the Titanic was also one of the most technologically advanced. The ship had 16 watertight compartments designed to keep it afloat if damaged.
