Tim Hortons Foundation Camps supports kids from disadvantaged circumstances between the ages of 12 to 16 at the time in their lives when they are determining who they will become as adults. Through a multi-year, camp-based program, they learn skills like leadership, resilience, and responsibility, allowing them to believe in their own potential and change their stories for the better.

Built in 1905, the boat club was originally operated by the Young Men's Temperance & Benevolent Society. It was established as the St. Mary's Boat Club in 1919. Currently, the facility is host to various receptions, summer camps, and canoe, kayak and stand up paddle board rentals. The celebrations will include free canoe rentals, a performance by the Halifax Boys Honour Choir and light refreshments. St. Mary's Boat Club, 1641 Fairfield Road, Halifax.
