Blue Nose Marathon
Known as ‘the people’s marathon’, the Scotiabank Blue Nose Marathon event welcomes all ages, abilities and fitness levels. With the help of 1,400 volunteers, there are seven running events (5KM, 10KM, 15KM, half marathon, full marathon, marathon team relay, youth run-4KM and 2KM) taking place during the June 8-9, 2019 weekend. June 6, 1933 eager motorists park their automobiles on the grounds of Park-In Theaters, the first-ever drive-in movie theater, located on Crescent Boulevard in Camden, New Jersey. Admission : 25 cents per car and 25 cents per person, with no group paying more than one dollar. Today there are 2 Drive In theaters in Nova Scotia. One in Cambridge and the other in Sydney.

The Cars released their first album June 6, 1978. The cover model was Natalya Medvedeva, a Russian-born model, singer, writer and journalist. The band paid $80 to design the artwork used on the album cover.
