Tim Hortons Foundation Camps supports kids from disadvantaged circumstances between the ages of 12 to 16 at the time in their lives when they are determining who they will become as adults. Through a multi-year, camp-based program, they learn skills like leadership, resilience, and responsibility, allowing them to believe in their own potential and change their stories for the better.

Built in 1905, the boat club was originally operated by the Young Men's Temperance & Benevolent Society. It was established as the St. Mary's Boat Club in 1919. Currently, the facility is host to various receptions, summer camps, and canoe, kayak and stand up paddle board rentals. The celebrations will include free canoe rentals, a performance by the Halifax Boys Honour Choir and light refreshments. St. Mary's Boat Club, 1641 Fairfield Road, Halifax. Known as ‘the people’s marathon’, the Scotiabank Blue Nose Marathon event welcomes all ages, abilities and fitness levels. With the help of 1,400 volunteers, there are seven running events (5KM, 10KM, 15KM, half marathon, full marathon, marathon team relay, youth run-4KM and 2KM) taking place during the June 8-9, 2019 weekend. June 6, 1933 eager motorists park their automobiles on the grounds of Park-In Theaters, the first-ever drive-in movie theater, located on Crescent Boulevard in Camden, New Jersey. Admission : 25 cents per car and 25 cents per person, with no group paying more than one dollar. Today there are 2 Drive In theaters in Nova Scotia. One in Cambridge and the other in Sydney.
