The MacKay Bridge will be closed 5:00am Sunday, September 22 until 5:00am Monday, September 23. Two lanes on the MacKay Bridge will be closed from 7pm, Friday, September 20 until the bridge closes Sunday at 5:00am to continue with resurfacing the two Dartmouth-bound lanes. The full bridge closure is needed to remove an inspection platform at the top of the main cable. Its removal requires using several large cranes and the full width of the bridge.
