MACPASS Miles is back, Sunday, August 6th! After a two year hiatus, Halifax Harbour Bridges is welcoming back MACPASS Miles, one mile race across the MacDonald Bridge! The Lifesaving Society Nova Scotia Branch is hosting the 2017 Canadian Lifeguard Challenge on Sunday, August 6 at Martinique Beach Provincial Park from 12 to 2 p.m. The Canadian Lifeguard Challenge is a high-performance, by-invitation-only, surf lifesaving competition sanctioned by the Lifesaving Society Canada. The Northern Lights Lantern Festival is a community festival which celebrates the vibrancy and diversity of Halifax's North End. The Festival has no admission cost and has live music through out the event from a variety of local performers.
