The 10th Annual Tree Lighting is on Wednesday, December 5 (hosted by HRM Councillor Lisa Blackburn, and featuring the Scotian Aires choir) at 7:00pm. People can make a donation in memory or in honour of a loved one and hang a star on our tree! The Church of Saint Andrew, 2 Circassion Drive (corner of Forrest Hills Parkway), Cole Harbour presents its 12th Annual John Sands Concert. John’s evening of Christmas Music and other well-loved selections of peaceful instrumental music will start at 7 pm on Friday, December 7th. His style hints of contemporary, classical, Latin and original rhythms. The cost is $12.50/ticket. Complimentary light refreshments will be served following the concert. Janelle Lucyk and the Saint David’s Choir will sing carols and songs for Advent on Saturday, December 8th, at 7 p.m. Highlights include compositions by Rose Vaughan and Paul Halley as well as traditional works by J-S Bach and classical composers. The concert takes place at Saint David’s Presbyterian Church, 1544 Grafton Street, at Pizza Corner in Halifax. Tickets are $20, $10 unwaged.
