Film shot in Nova Scotia set to premiere at Cannes Film Festival

A film shot in Nova Scotia will make its highly anticipated world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival this weekend. The Lighthouse, directed by Robert Eggers, was shot and filmed in multiple locations across the province including the Leif Erickson Trail at the Cape Forchu lighthouse in Yarmouth County and a soundstage Dartmouth. The production employed a Nova Scotia crew of over 150 people. The 2019 Cannes Film Festival runs until May 25.
