May 17 Coffin Skate Shop is hosting summer roller discos at the Mayflower Curling Club! Family skate time is from 5:00pm - 7:00pm, regular disco entry is available after 7pm. Door entry: $10 + tax, Rental skates: $10 including tax. We have over 120 rental roller skates in a range of kids to adult sizes.

A film shot in Nova Scotia will make its highly anticipated world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival this weekend. The Lighthouse, directed by Robert Eggers, was shot and filmed in multiple locations across the province including the Leif Erickson Trail at the Cape Forchu lighthouse in Yarmouth County and a soundstage Dartmouth. The production employed a Nova Scotia crew of over 150 people. The 2019 Cannes Film Festival runs until May 25.
