The club will host a 'Fan Farewell' tonight at the Dartmouth 4 Pad on Commodore Dr. In a tweet, the Mooseheads say the event is free and everyone is welcome. Tina Turner released the album ‘Private Dancer’ in 1984

Released May 29, 1984. It was her fifth studio album. The album was promoted throughout 1985 in a 177-date worldwide tour entitled the Private Dancer Tour. With 1984's What's Love Got to Do With It?, Tina became the oldest female artist to have US number one hit. However, she reputedly found much of the accompanying Private Dancer album too wishy-washy: she'd wanted to cut a hard-rock record in the style of AC/DC.

Edward Snowden to speak via livestream at Dalhousie University

May 30th Edward Snowden will deliver a keynote address at Dalhousie University as part of their Alumni Days Open Dialogue series. The former American intelligence officer and fugitive will speak about security, privacy and surveillance via livestream from Moscow, Russia on May 30. Snowden made international headlines in 2013 after leaking thousands of NSA documents to journalists, which resulted in a criminal complaint from the U.S. government.
