110 years ago today, the RMS Titanic sunk in the North Atlantic Ocean. The largest and most luxurious ship in the world, the Titanic was also one of the most technologically advanced. The ship had 16 watertight compartments designed to keep it afloat if damaged. Easter Monday is a public holiday in 3 provinces and 3 territories, where it is a day off for the general population, and schools and most businesses are closed. Born May 11, 1988 in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia. Brad Marchand grew up playing minor hockey in the Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia area, including AAA midget with the Dartmouth Subways before being a second round pick in the 2004 QMJHL Midget Draft. He played four seasons in the QMJHL. He currently plays left wing for the Boston Bruins.
