Rush on the big screen

Fans will get to see Rush together again, albeit not on the live stage. The band will hit the silver screen on Aug. 21 for Rush: Cinema Strangiato 2019.
Billed as the first “Annual Exercise in Fan Indulgence,” the one-day-only screening will feature an assortment of song performances and backstage footage from the band’s 2015 R40 40th anniversary tour.
The film includes a new interview with singer and bassist Geddy Lee, discussing his 2018 book Geddy Lee’s Big Beautiful Book of Bass. Celebrity Rush fans — including Billy Corgan, Tom Morello and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins — will also appear in the movie.
