Random Sexual Assault in Sherbrooke

Police are investigating a disturbing sexual assault on the province’s eastern shore. Shortly after 7pm on Friday night a man drove up to a residence in Sherbrooke and approached a woman outside her home. After a brief conversation with the stranger, the woman was sexually assaulted. The suspect then got back in his vehicle and drove off. Police have not yet been able to obtain a description of the suspect or his vehicle but will pass on more information to the public when it becomes available. The RCMP’s Major Crime Unit is handling the investigation.
