Justice minister working on police oversight

Justice Minister Diana Whalen says the government will provide more oversight for rural police departments.

Whalen’s comments came after an independent review found the Truro police badly mishandled the investigation into a three year old girl’s death. Whalen says she accepts all of the recommendations in the review and is working on them.
