Police Respond to Two Incidents in Dartmouth Saturday Morning

Halifax Police responded to a number of incidents in Dartmouth on Saturday morning. Shortly after 1am they responded to a report of man carrying a gun on Brule Street. A man carrying a replica handgun and machete was arrested without incident and faces weapons charges. Around 10am Saturday Police were called to Pinecrest Drive where a resident opened the door to someone known to him. After a discussion the resident was struck with padlock attached to a bike chain. The victim was not seriously injured but the suspect did make off with tools and cash. No arrests have been made.
