Premier congratulates Olympic athletes
Premier Stephen McNeil has offered congratulations to Nova Scotia’s Olympic athletes.
Antigonisher Eric Gillis finished 10th in the men’s marathon, the best result for a Canadian man since 1976. Halifax gymnast Ellie Black made history, finishing fifth in the all-around artistic competition.
Paddlers Mark de Jonge, Genevieve Orton, and Ryan Cochrane, plus swimmer Sydney Pickrem had top-10 finishes. Sailors Erin Rafuse and Danielle Boyd, and brothers Graeme and Jacob Saunders rounded out our athletes.
