Halifax Pride criticized for rejecting pro-Israel campaign

Halifax Pride is coming under fire for refusing a pro-Israel campaign at a Pride event.

Local Xpress reports the materials promoted LGTBQ life in Israel and tourism to Tel Aviv. Halifax Pride has banned it after a request from a group called Queer Arabs of Halifax.

Conservative Leader Jamie Baillie called the ban an absurd injustice that a group promoting LGBTQ rights would silence the province’s Jewish community.. Baillie said he will no longer participate in the Pride parade if it goes through.
