DESCRIPTION:Glenn Lewis Frey (November 6\, 1948 – January 18\, 2016) was an American singer\, songwriter\, actor and founding member of the rock band the Eagles. \nFrey was the co-lead singer and frontman for the Eagles\, roles he came to share with fellow member Don Henley\, with whom he wrote most of the Eagles’ material. \nFrey played guitar and keyboards as well as singing lead vocals on songs such as “Take It Easy”\, “Peaceful Easy Feeling”\, “Tequila Sunrise”\, “Already Gone”\, “James Dean”\, “Lyin’ Eyes”\, “New Kid in Town”\, and “Heartache Tonight”. \nAfter the breakup of the Eagles in 1980\, Frey embarked on a successful solo career. \nAs a member of the Eagles\, Frey won six Grammy Awards\, and five American Music Awards. The Eagles were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998\, the first year they were nominated. Consolidating his solo recordings and those with the Eagles\, Frey had 24 Top 40 singles on the Billboard Hot 100. \n

DESCRIPTION:Residents looking to dispose of unwanted household special waste can bring their materials to the mobile special waste depot event happening today. \nWhen: Saturday\, November 6\nWhere: Tallahassee Community School\, 168 Redoubt Way\, Eastern Passage \nThe mobile drop-off depot will be in operation from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will take place rain or shine. \nMaterials accepted at the household drop-off depot include: \n\nleftover corrosive cleaners\npesticides/herbicides\ngasoline\nfuel oil and used motor oil\nsolvents\nthinners\npharmaceuticals and drugs\naerosol cans containing hazardous substances\nbarbecue propane tanks\nsmall propane cylinders (for example\, those used for camp stoves and propane torches)\nbatteries (visit call2recycle.ca for a full list of retail drop-off locations for batteries and cell phones)\nleftover liquid paint (paint and empty paint cans may also be returned to any Enviro-Depot. Please visit their website for locations and hours of operation)\n\nThe municipality also operates a permanent Household Special Waste depot at 20 Horseshoe Lake Drive. Drop-off times are on most Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. The household special waste drop-off depots are open only to residents of the Halifax Regional Municipality.
