DESCRIPTION:NLCC Micmac is a Navy League Cadet Corps in Halifax and is an opportunity for children between the ages of 9 and 12 to meet lots of great people and make great friends. Most activities are FREE! Even the uniforms are provided. We meet once a week to learn about small boats\, ships\, Naval history\, rope work\, knot tying and marching and lots of other fun things. \nSaturday May 13th – Shred It and BBQ Fundraiser in support of NLCC Micmac. The fundraiser will run from 11:00am – 4:00pm. \nShred It will be on site at the Military Family Resource Centre – 6393 Homefire Cres. Windsor Park.\nThey will be available to those who would like to have items shredded and make a monetary donation to NLCC Micmac. \nStaff and cadets of NLCC Micmac will also be hosting a BBQ. There will be hot dogs\, hamburgers\, pop and water available to purchase. \nDND police and fire services may be visiting during the fundraiser as well. \nAll monies donated will go towards the costs of the NLCC Micmac summer camp in August. \n
