DESCRIPTION:Five kilometer Fund Raising “Life Run” April 29th\, at 9:00 a.m. in support of Help 2 Overcome. The race will start and end at the Black Point Fire Hall on St. Margaret’s Bay Rd. Registration is $5.00 and starts 8:00 a.m. at the Fire Hall. \nHelp 2 Overcome is a Canadian-based\, registered charity located in Black Point that is committed to providing water and sanitation to schools in Sierra Leone. Unsafe water\, inadequate sanitation and lack of hygiene affects the health\, safety\, and quality of life of children. Reducing these problems helps kids get back to school. It also protects girls’ right to education as girls are reluctant to continue their schooling when toilet and washing facilities are not private\, not safe\, not clean\, or simply not available. Ben John will be returning to Sierra Leone in September.
