DESCRIPTION:The event will showcase the scientific research\, restoration efforts and community engagement that have made eelgrass conservation possible in our waters. Each evening will feature a series of short talks that will highlight various aspects of eelgrass conservation efforts in recent years\, including \n\nSimon Ryder-Burbidge on kayak-based eelgrass monitoring with the EAC;\nNicolas Winkler on venturing under the ice to photograph overwintering eelgrass;\nDr. Kristina Boerder on CERI’s scientific and restoration work\,\nand more!\n\nWe hope you join us for a chance to meet with our speakers and hear about the important work they’re doing. \nWhen: We will be hosting this event over two days: \n\nThursday\, April 23 from 6 to 8 p.m.\nFriday\, April 24 from 6 to 8 p.m.\n\nWhere: the Ecology Action Centre (2705 Fern Lane\, Halifax\, NS) \nAdmission is free\, and all are welcome.
