Saturday’s 80’s Countdown: NOVEMBER 7, 1987
8 am – noon

Ronald Reagan tells Mikhail Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin Wall. We said goodbye to paper one dollar bills as the Loonie was introduced. On the medical front, Prozac, the anti-depressant was added to approved drug lists. Swing Out Sister and Billy Idol had songs in this week’s Top 40.



Sunday’s 70’s Countdown: NOVEMBER 11, 1978
8 am – 11 am

We have come a long way from 1978. This was the year that the new immigration act stated that homosexuals were no longer on the list of the “inadmissible class.” New movies in 1978 included Grease and Animal House while TV welcomed a few new shows like WKRP and Dallas. Alicia Keyes and Exile were 2 of the artists featured on the Top 40 this week in 1978.
