Some things never change
Television shows and movies have been around for decades, and while the technology has certainly changed, some things seem to have never changed. Yes, we’ve come a long way from “rabbit ears” on television and we don’t have to go the a theatre to see a movie. But have you noticed how other things haven’t changed?
All phone numbers start with the prefix 555.
A man will show no pain while taking the most ferocious beating but will wince when a woman tries to clean his wounds.
When people pay for a taxi, they’ll never look in their wallet as they take out a note. They’ll just grab one at random and hand it over and it’ll always be the exact fare. Same thing for drinks in a bar.
Cars and trucks that crash will almost always burst into flames.
If a killer is lurking in your house, there’s a guaranteed way to flush him out. Just relax and run a bath.
Lineups at scenes set at airport check-in counters or security never have more than 3 people in line.
And, when driving, the hero will always be able to take his eyes off the road and chat extensively with his passenger without ever crashing.
The more things change, the more they stay the same!
