JOAQUIN UP AND DOWN THE STAIRS
The now famous stairway used by Joaquin Phoenix’s character in the “Joker” movie is quickly becoming a New York City tourist destination.
The steps, located in Highbridge, The Bronx, are attracting hordes of fans looking to re-enact the creepy moment when Phoenix’s ‘Joker’ menacingly dances to the song ‘Rock and Roll Part 2’.
There are over 600 posts on Instagram with the #Jokerstairs.
In the photo sharing app, the steps are officially called “Joker Stairs” and listed at 1165 Shakespeare Ave.
In many of the pictures, people are dancing on the steps mimicking Joker’s moves, some of them in full costume. It’s become so popular that some media outlets are reporting that if you’d like to get in on the craze, you can expect to have to wait your turn.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t need a famous stairway to dance like a joker!
