Happy St. Patrick’s Day
I have to be honest. Of the many places I have visited, no other place comes close to beautiful and enchanting Ireland. It’s the combination of the people, the scenery and the history that can almost overpower the senses.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you. Did you know:
St, Patrick was born in Scotland or Wales in the late fourth century.
The first parade was in Boston in 1737. The first one in Ireland wasn’t until 1903.
13 million pints of Guinness will be poured on St. Patrick’s Day.
It was strictly a religious holiday in Ireland, with no pubs open, until 1970.
