Summer is almost over and soon the kiddies will be heading back to school. If you’re not all adventured-out from the long weekend here are some awesome events to fill up the rest of your week with.
Wednesday, August 8th

Come watch the watch the fireworks at the Eastern Passage / Cow Bay Summer Carnival. Food trucks will be on site starting at 6 pm if you wanted to grab a bite to eat.
Thursday, August 9th
Midway at the Carnival Grounds
August 9th – 12th @ Tallahassee Community School in Eastern Passage
Enjoy some carnival rides and games for all ages. Bracelets are $26, individual tickets are $1.50 each.
Friday, August 10th
Halifax India Fest
August 10th – 12th @ The Halifax Forum
Come and enjoy the incredible experience of Indian culture with food, dance, and music. There will be a variety of Indian food, clothes, jewellery, and of course, henna too. New this year is the handcraft demonstration and spice demonstration.
Saturday, August 11th
15th Annual Northern Lights Lantern Festival
5 pm – 10:15 pm @ Merv Sullivan Park
Pony rides, face painting, bouncy castles and lantern making. Live music is played from the main stage throughout the festival and the night is capped off with a parade of lanterns and a wonderful fireworks display.
Sunday, August 12th
2018 Clam Harbour Sandcastle Competition
9 am – 6pm @ Clam Harbour Beach
Clam Harbour’s famous sandcastle contest that attracts thousands of people to the Eastern Shore is back! August 12 marks the 40th year for the Clam Harbour Beach Sandcastle Competition. Is this the year you’ll win it?
