Nova Scotia’s largest city is getting a new outpatient centre. Premier Stephen McNeil made the announcement yesterday at an undeveloped site near the Bayers Lake business park in the west end of Halifax. He says the province purchased the site for 7.5 million dollars after evaluating 14 sites outside the Halifax peninsula. McNeil says the centre is expected to be more convenient for those who don’t want to travel downtown for blood collection, X-rays or visits to specialists.
